The Bardufoss Region has a rich and unique cultural history. The valley was inhabited by Settlers from the South in the late 1700s which quickly came into conflict with the indigenous Sámi families of the area. Learn about the Settlers, the Sámi culture, food, salmon, and a lot of other interesting things in our exciting and authentic cultural adventures.
At Urhjertet located west of Bardufoss along Andsvatnet lake you can experience the sámi culture unlike anywhere else. Susanne, the owner, is very passionate about sámi culture and traditions, and upon entering her magical world you will hear endless wonderful stories and folk tales along the way.
