Indoor glamping at Basecamp NORD is the place for fellowship, happiness and enjoyment! Stay in glamping tents, lavvus or mini caravans which makes your own private sphere in the camping landscape. Here you can experience the best parts of the camping life: a unique location, stable climate, no rain and no mosquitos! Sleeping pads and sleeping bags are exchanged for spacious beds, comfortable mattresses and clean, soft bedlinen, which gives a glamorous camping experience!
Between the tents and caravans you can gather your friends and family around comfortable sitting groups. A perfect base for great conversations, board games and new friendships. We recommend that you bring slippers or indoor shoes to wear on the camping site, as the floor can feel cool and all tents are shoe free zones. The temperature in the camping area can be compared to a northern summer night, so we also recommend you to bring your pajamas or wool underwear to sleep in. All tents are equipped with fireproof heaters.
Indoor glamping at Basecamp NORD is a wonderful arena for friends and families who search for a special and memorable experience. You will find a play room for children with a large slide, and you may borrow board games in the reception. At Basecamp NORD you will also find the headquarters of Visit Bardufoss, with tourist information and activities all year round.
Breakfast is served in the restaurant area which is located in the southernmost part of the building. The views from the restaurant is breathtakingly beautiful, and you are able to enjoy your breakfast with view towards Istindan and Bardufoss. If you wish to increase the glamour of your stay, you may order your breakfast to your tent as room service!
The restaurant at Basecamp NORD serves burgers and milkshakes! It is open for all camping guests, and has ordinary opening hours on weekends. Here you can order delicious and juicy burgers with sides and dips. There are 6 burgers on the menu, with local produce and home made brioche buns!
Basecamp NORD is located in the heart of the Bardufoss Region with a great variety of activities and experiences in close proximity. You will find the cross country and hiking trails just outside the door, and the alpine ski resort of Målselv Mountain Village is only a short walk from Basecamp. Explore the trails on your own, rent showshoes or book a guided hike!
Basecamp NORD is a visitor center, and the Visit Bardufoss headquarter is located here. This means that you can book activities and other accommodation without even putting your shoes on! Basecamp is the base for many exciting experiences, like the Wild Moose Safari, Aurora Sky Point and others. If you wish, you may even rent the grill hut!
If you drive your own car, you can explore the whole Bardufoss Region! Visit Polarbadet, Polar Park and Norway’s national waterfalls – all great day tours from Basecamp NORD!
The nearest trail is located just outstide the main entrance of Basecamp NORD. Experience kilometers of groomed trails in the mountains behind Basecamp!
Only 5 minutes of walking will take you to the main entrance of the alpine ski resort of Målselv Mountain Village. Enjoy a day of alpine fun!
Book a pleasant stay in the Aurora hut! The fireplace will be lit in advance, and you can order a plate of cured meat with hot beverage. Hot dogs and marshmallows for the kids!
The tourist information and visitor center of Visit Bardufoss is located inside of Basecamp NORD! Learn about all of the activities you can experience in the Bardufoss Region!
