Basecamp NORD is a visitor center located in Målselv Mountain Village in Målselv, Troms og Finnmark, Norway. It has an indoor «glamping» area, burger restaurant and pub. In the building you will also find the Visit Bardufoss’ headquarters, and the premises works as a starting point for a lot of exciting activities. Basecamp NORD is operated by Rundhaug Gjestegård AS, a historic hotel located on Rundhaug, about 15 km from Basecamp NORD.
We are now looking for a committed activity coordinator who will coordinate, lead and guide sold activities to visitors of Basecamp NORD, like northern lights activities, wild moose safari, snowshoeing and more! The position also includes tasks related to the daily operations of Basecamp NORD, like breakfast service, reception, waitering, and housekeeping. The position is full time and permanent with 40 hours per week. 2 weekends per month and national holidays are required.
The activity at Basecamp NORD is expected to be intensified around the high season, like Christmas, new years, and easter, and work will be required in these periods. The work hours will vary according to season and need, and the activity coordinator must be flexible as activity booking happens on short notice. In low season the work location may be relocated to Rundhaug Gjestegård.

Rundhaug Gjestegård is a historic hotel located in the middle of Målselv municipality in Troms and Finnmark county, approximately 2 hours driving from Tromsø and 20 minutes from Bardufoss Airport. The hotel is 116 years this year and has an interesting history as a popular destination for anglers from all over the world. The hotel has 22 rooms with a total of 42 beds. Rundhaug Gjestegård has preserved its historic atmosphere and every room has its own unique character. It has a large restaurant area with a pub. The restaurant serves à la carte menu and focus greatly on preserving the local food traditions.
We are now looking for experienced hosts/hostesses, waiters and cleaning personnel to greet our guests in the reception and take care of their needs during the stay. You will be working on rotating schedules with varying working hours. Weekends and holidays required. Your tasks will vary according to the needs.
